There's something so feminine about wearing a little lace. When this button-up maxi from MINKPINK made its way its my closet - I knew it was going to be a fall staple for an autumn in California.
Girly isn't really my thing, but that doesn't mean I'm opposed to putting my own spin on things. This dress feels entirely boho to me, so I played that up with some equally boho jewelry pieces like these rings from Rox 'N' Bunny - as well as this dainty silver necklace from Barse Jewelry.
Now onto the grunge-y part of the look. You can't wear white without black, right? The outfit just didn't feel right without a black fedora (as usual), and black on black is just my thing - so my trusty black choker from Brandy Melville and thigh high black boots from Simmi Shoes made an appearance as well.
I got a few looks (weird ones) for wearing this out while grabbing lunch with my boyfriend in Orange County, but I think you should always wear what you want, when you want, how you want. Just because lace is soft and romantic, doesn't mean it can't be paired with something tough like black thigh high leather boots and a fedora from the men's section at Target.
