If I could pick a favorite travel destination of mine so far, I would have to say Okinawa, Japan. My husband and I spent about one week on the magical island and I honestly have only good things to say about it. I'll let the countless Instagram photos and YouTube videos I've posted speak for themselves, but I just wanted to round up all of my outfit details & some things I may not have posted in one place. Enjoy!

Day 1:
During our 16 hour layover in Shanghai, China, we were jetlagged AF - but obviously I had to share my outfit details (no-face-style) and make use of a Shanghai, China geotag cause pics or it didn't happen.

Once we made it to the Naha Beachside Hotel in Okinawa, the only thing we were concerned about was getting ramen - but not before enjoying the sunset from our balcony.

Day 2:
Like I mentioned in my vlogs, I'm all about a complimentary hotel breakfast, so here's me working on seconds at the Naha Beach Side Hotel (because I couldn't be bothered to take a photo on my first round).
Bracelets: Beach Lilies // Dress: Selfie Leslie
Also shoutout to the random rainbow blessing our breakfast view.
Next on the agenda was visiting the Fukushu-en Garden in Naha - we filmed so much footage & took so many pictures - I highly recommend seeing it if you're ever in the area!

I didn't Photoshop the sky in this photo. That sky is 100% real and it is amazing.

Driving in Japan wasn't as scary as we thought it would be (they drive on the opposite side of the road as we do in the US), but I will say that they car rides were LONG. The highest speed limit was around 60km/hr which is about 37mi/hr in the US (much slower than we're used to).

It's a tough call, but I think my absolute favorite place in all of Okinawa, Japan is Mermaid's Grotto. A friend familiar with the area recommended it to us & I have to say - I'm so glad we decided to check it out. If you're into snorkeling & diving, this is the place for you - lots of wildlife & the water is crystal clear.

Day 3:
In case I forgot to mention it - this part of Japan is extremely humid and very hot, so we spent the majority of our time at the beach. Diamond Beach was a place I found stalking though Google Maps, and from what I could tell - it's not a well-known beach = barely any tourists. Very clean, a ton of plant life, and pretty much perfect water for swimming in.

No people on the beach = obnoxious couple photos taken together.

Day 4:
I will never tire of going to the beach, but one thing we did want to see was Shuri Castle Park. They didn't let us take photos on the inside, but we did manage to take a few.

Caught the sunset in time for a little date night at the Okinawa Marriott - note that I changed in order to match the sky.

Day 5:
Our fifth day in Okinawa, we were so stunned by the fact that we were waking up in such a gorgeous hotel room, we didn't feel like leaving (other than to go to the beach). Not even a little bit mad at this view:

Our room also had a jacuzzi on the balcony - to say I took advantage would be an understatement.

I give a detailed hotel room tour in my vlog, but other than the view, the entryway was my favorite part of our room.
We had a little bit of down time midday, so we checked out Nago Citizen Beach just a few miles away. I'm convinced that all of the beaches in Japan are 100 times better than anything we have in California.

They fed us everything I never knew I wanted including quiche, pumpkin mousse, shikwasa (which is the word for a lime that grows in Okinawa) eclairs, purple yam cakes, passionfruit chocolate ganache, madeleines and more.
But my favorite thing was definitely the flowering teas we were served - a Hong Mei Lei and Ryukyu Tropical tea (I can't for the life of me remember which was which - but still, incredibly beautiful.

Day 6:
The day before we left, there was so much we wanted to see, so we checked out of our hotel pretty early and headed to Hiji Falls. If you're looking for one of the most serene & peaceful hikes of your life, this place is for you.
Dress: Indah Clothing // Sandals: Earth Brands (sold out)
Since the hike pretty much left me feeling sweatier than I've ever been in my life, I changed into a dress I had worn a couple days earlier (#noshame) and we drove up to the northernmost part of the island to see Cape Hedo. The view was so insane, I don't think I was able to do it justice.

By the time we got to the last place on our list, the sun was setting and our camera battery was about to die, but I did get a shot of a magical moment beneath the moon at Seaglass Beach.

Day 7:
We were pretty bummed to be leaving Okinawa our last day, so we didn't get too much footage or too many photos since we just wanted to be present and enjoy. However, we did get a few moments to share of our time on Kokusai Street.

I'll let my travel diary speak for itself, but I will say that I can't wait to go back someday.
