ALLEY CAT

This summer's been a hot one, so I've been all over wearing a crop top with some shorts. However, I feel like it just wouldn't be an "Audrie Outfit" without a little bit of grungey goodness and a whole lot of black.

I started out with this button-up square neckline crop top that used to be my mom's... from the 80's! Can you tell? I snagged this from her years ago, and I wear it as often as I can, because the fit is just flattering AF (I think). A big plus to mom's hand-me-downs? No one else has 'em.

Once I picked out the top, I decided immediately that I wanted to pair it with all black everything. Sure, it's summer - but I'd never let that stop me from wearing my favorite color. Since the top was a tad bit too short to be wearing in public, I decided to wear a bralette with a bit of lace to peek through underneath.

Crop tops are a must in my closet, so I always try to pair them with something high-waisted to keep from looking too provocative. Enter the most perfect high-waisted shorts EVER from Morrisday the Label. With a tie side detail, loose fit and pockets, you can't really go wrong.

Last of all - accessories. While I do love accessories, I tend to rewear pieces again and again when I find ones that work with every outfit I own. My fedora from Target has probably seen better days, but I can't seem to let it go just yet - as well as my thrifted woven crossbody bag. Black booties like these ones from EMU Australia have a bit of a heel as well as some height around the ankle - which I prefer to straight-up ankle boots (I just think those cut me off at a weird length).

My rings are a combination of Forever 21 and this new brand that was nice enough to send me a few new pieces - Stunner Collective. The brand is aptly named; their jewelry is absolutely stunning.
