May and June are probably the hottest yet gloomiest weather months here in California, so for me, summer doesn’t REALLY start until July. Now that it actually feels like summer to me, I’m in the right mindset to set some goals and make plans to make the most of my summer. I thought I would share what I want to accomplish (and some of the things I’ve accomplished so far), here goes:
Go to the flea market.
Swim at a beach I’ve never been to before.
Surf (and try to stand up on the board for longer than one second this time).
Go camping.
Visit the Orange County Fair (my husband and I go every year - it’s tradition).
Watch the US Open of Surfing in Huntington Beach (another tradition).
Have a sleepover.
Deep clean my home.
Learn a new song on the ukulele.
Take a road trip down to San Diego.
Make a new friend.
Do something outside of my comfort zone.
Read a paperback or hardcover book instead of one on my phone app.
Make ceviche from scratch.
Spend one Sunday focusing entirely on self-care.
Go rock climbing.
Find a drive-in movie theater.
Write a letter to a friend.
Go fishing.
Explore a new city I’ve never been to before.
Donate, donate, donate.
Have a Disney movie marathon.
Finish a new DIY macrame project.
Stargaze somewhere away from the city lights.
Remember not to take anything for granted.
CHALLENGE ACCEPTED.
